Dispute resolution is one of our core practice areas. We act for clients in litigation, arbitration, and proceedings before complaints boards across a broad range of legal disciplines. We also represent clients in alternative dispute resolution processes, including mediation and conciliation. 

Experienced Litigation and Arbitration Attorneys
Our services cover the entire process – from advising clients on whether to pursue a claim to assisting with the gathering of evidence and representing clients throughout proceedings. We often act for clients in construction disputes before courts and the Danish Building and Construction Arbitration Board. Our clients include employers, contractors, technical consultants, and insurance companies involved in disputes concerning defects, delays, disruption, claims for variations, and liability issues. We also represent contracting authorities and complainants in procurement disputes before the Danish Complaints Board for Public Procurement concerning construction works, supplies, and utilities. Furthermore, we advise and act for clients in disputes concerning all aspects of real estate transactions, property development, and residential and commercial tenancy law.  

Our team acts in litigation and arbitration across a broad range of legal disciplines, including public law, IT law, intellectual property law, corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, competition law, contract law, and general commercial law. 

International Experience
Our team has a strong track record in handling international cases and provides expert advice on issues related to applicable law and jurisdiction. We advise and represent clients in disputes arising from international construction and engineering projects, infrastructure projects, power plants, offshore developments, and the construction of industrial and process facilities. We have also appeared before the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU).  

Arbitration Experience
We have extensive experience in arbitration and are recognised for our expertise in the field. Our attorneys act as counsel and arbitrators in both Danish and international arbitration cases, administered by various arbitration institutions and on an ad hoc basis.    

We are the authors of one of the leading texts on Danish arbitration law, Danish Arbitration Law (Voldgiftsret), which is regularly updated with the latest case law from Denmark, Sweden, and Norway.  

Alternative Dispute Resolution
Not every dispute needs to be resolved through litigation or arbitration. In consultation with our clients, we explore opportunities for out-of-court settlements and provide assistance and representation in settlement negotiations where appropriate. We also assist and represent clients in conciliation, mediation, expedited proceedings, dispute review boards, and other forms of alternative dispute resolution. Several of our attorneys are accredited mediators.
