PROFILE
Mark Søndergaard advises both public and private clients on all aspects of construction and procurement law, with a special focus on the interests of public contracting authorities in dispute resolution proceedings. Mark is also an experienced in conducting cases in the field of construction law, representing private-sector clients in courts of law and at the Danish Building and Construction Arbitration Board. Mark has considerable experience of project finance and strategies, including the interaction between them. Mark has extensive experience in advising and servicing public authorities, both in the form of general advice and in relation to dispute resolution and calls for tenders.
Mark has acted as litigator in numerous court and arbitral proceedings and has contributed to the preparation of cases to be heard by the Danish high courts, the Danish supreme court and the European Court of Justice. In addition, he represents clients in expert appraisal proceedings and in conciliation proceedings before courts of law. He teaches courses on the law of contracts and the law of obligations at the University of Copenhagen and has published articles in that field.
Mark speaks the Scandinavian languages and English.
