Andreas Antoniades is widely recognised for his extensive experience spanning more than 25 years, during which he has regularly advised Danish pension funds, professional real estate investors, asset managers, municipalities, utility companies, and a range of other institutions in Denmark. He also counsels commercial foundations (dansk: erhvervsdrivende fonde) on real estate-related matters.

His core areas of expertise include real estate transactions (M&A real estate), project development, lease law, and a wide range of complex legal and commercial issues related to real estate. This includes dispute resolution, litigation and arbitration, market rent adjustments, and environmental and planning law.

In addition, Andreas supports clients in the formation of joint ventures and the negotiation of ownership structures and various types of agreements, including asset management and property administration contracts.

He has advised both private and institutional investors as well as public authorities on real estate investments and transactions involving property portfolios. These include residential rental properties, office buildings, shopping centres, and logistics facilities.

His advice also covers project development and the sale of building rights.

Andreas has provided strategic advice on the drafting and negotiation of lease agreements for high-profile corporate headquarters and on sale-and-leaseback transactions.

He has significant experience with both residential and commercial lease matters and is acknowledged as the co-author of Erhvervslejeret (Commercial Lease Law, 2nd edition), a comprehensive reference work on Danish commercial lease legislation.

Andreas has served as the lead partner in connection with an urban development company for several years, during which our legal team has handled assignments such as drafting sales agreements with various investors and providing ongoing legal support.

In addition, Andreas has consistently expanded his collaboration with a major Danish development company and has acted as legal adviser to several pension funds on the acquisition and disposal of property portfolios.

Teaching

Andreas worked as a tutor at the University of Copenhagen (Property Law, Year 1) from 2000 to 2005, and has regularly taught commercial lease law and other subjects relating to real estate.
