Julie Heegaard Pedersen specialises in residential and commercial lease law, asset management, real estate transactions and litigation.

Julie provides legal advice to property owners and investors, pension funds, municipalities  and social housing organisations. In connection with real estate transactions, Julie conducts legal due diligence regarding  residential and commercial lease law. In addition, Julie  has extensive experience with litigation regarding residential disputes, e.g. in connection with rent regulation, termination and vacation. Julie is experienced with advising property owners both in connection with the acquisition, during the ownership period, and in connection with a disposal of the property.

Furthermore, Julie has experience advising social housing organisations and specially regulated housing associations (dansk: parlamentariske boligselskaber) on residential democracy  and residential lease law matters.

Julie also advises on the conclusion and renegotiation of commercial lease agreements, including office leases, retail leases, shopping centres and logistics facilities.

References

In 2024, Julie assisted a pension fund in advising and conducting a landmark High Court case concerning a cost-based rent increase in proportion to the value of the leased premises.

In 2024, Julie also advised and participated in a housing court case for a municipality regarding notification of a rent increase regarding  a single-family house (dansk: småhus).

In addition, Julie has advised and participated in a High Court case for a specially regulated housing association on the interpretation of the association’s articles of association.

Julie speaks the Scandinavian languages and English.
