In the past fifteen years, Morten Ruben Brage has primarily worked on legal matters in the field of construction, and has conducted litigation in several cases before the Danish Building and Construction Arbitration Board and ordinary courts of law. Over the years, Morten has advised some of Denmark’s largest, leading construction project owners on complex infrastructure projects and the management of claims, and has also advised and acted as a preferred discussion partner for several large consortia of consultants in connection with the construction of large public construction projects and in arbitration proceedings pertaining to such projects. Morten has extensive experience in advising all parties to construction processes on matters relating to consultant liability and disputes concerning financial aspects of delays in construction projects.

In addition, Morten has considerable experience in providing advice on complex aspects of environmental law, for example environmental impact assessments (EIAs), compulsory purchases and various other restrictions on the use of real estate.

Since 2017 Morten has been a regular lecturer in the accredited +2 programme for architects and regularly teaches on courses and gives lectures on construction law subjects.

From 2015 to 2023 Morten worked on a permanent basis as attorney in relation to the construction of the BIO4 plant.

For a number of years, Morten has been the primary attorney for lead consultants and project insurance companies associated with large-scale, complex construction projects comprising comprehensive expert appraisal, claims and complex arbitration proceedings.

Morten has for several years acted as attorney for one of Denmark’s largest developers in relation to the construction of a large biofuel plant with a construction budget of more than DKK 1 billion.

Morten speaks the Scandinavian languages and English.
